When I turned 30, I decided to make a change and I chose to hire Carin. “In my 6-week program with Coach Carin I have in total lost 4,5 kg in weight, 5 cm around the waist, and 4 cm around the hips. "Last year I moved abroad and I fell into depression. I went from having a very active life to just sitting at home every day and night. I had no control over my food intake and I was literally turning into a potato couch. I realized how much weight I had gained and never had I ever seen these big numbers on the scale before! My weight was: 68,9 kg My waist size was: 88 cm This year I decided to make a change and I desperately wanted to lose weight because: 1- My back pain was unbearable. Allah sent me this amazing human being to help me lose weight. Her meal plans and workout plans are so well planned and organized. For the meal plan there was a “shopping list” and “how to” recipes with pictures. And for the workout plans, there were videos of her showing exactly how to do all the exercises. The first two weeks were so hard I just wanted to quit. But having a video call with Carin once a week keeped me motivated and she always told me to “trust the process”. And 60 days later I changed 180 degrees Alhamdolillah. I started working out regularly and being more aware of my food intake. I developed a new relationship with food and I started to trust myself with my food decisions. What I have learnt during my weight loss journey with Energized Muslimah: 1- It’s not easy but it’s not impossible! Persistence and patience are the keys, just like everything else in life. 2- It’s ok to go through a slow process as long as it’s a long-term one. Forget about the scale and numbers for a while. 3- Working out and eating healthy is not a temporary “medicine” to only lose weight. It’s a lifestyle. Things that have changed during my weight loss journey with Energized Muslimah: 1- Believe it or not. My back pain is GONE. Completely gone subhanallah. And that’s the best thing that has happened. 2- I am not afraid of eating carbs anymore and I have managed to have a healthier relationship with junk food and sugar. I now have a totally different mindset than before Alhamdolillah. 3- I workout regularly and I enjoy it so much! Sometimes I have so much energy that I just want to go for a run. 3- I am more sexually active and I enjoy intimate relationships more than before. My current weight: Unknown since I don’t have a scale right now, but last time I checked (3 weeks ago) it was 66 kg. I actually just wanted to say hello and share the joy that I alhamdulillah reached my “goal” by the end of 2020. My goal was to lose weight and reach 70 kg and got there last week alhamdulillah! I remember that the last time I was 70 kg was more than 10 years ago, or 13 years ago! SubhanAllah. I honestly could not have done it without you! I have so many times wanted to come up with another program with you but it has not been possible due to various circumstances, but inshaa’Allah bithnillah so I want to plan for this year when I need to work a little more as I know you can help me with inshaa’Allah. I am actually incredibly grateful to have you as a sister in Islam and as a coach, everything is qadr from Allah and it is so true that some people you meet can change you in different ways. Alhamdulillah for everything. May Allah give you the best of this life and the next, ameen, as you give the opportunity to sisters to become stronger and healthier, for it is an important aspect in Islam that one should take care of oneself. I have also mentioned to you before that my “weight trips” before have always been on their own and they have always been a roller coaster, but since I got to be part of the program and also get to follow your informative posts, it has become like a 180 degree turn! I was 86 kg in June, had a waist measurement of 100 cm and a hip measurement of 112 cm. Right now I am 69.3 kg but my goal was to be 70 kg at the end of the year 2020. Has a waist measurement of 81 cm and hip measurement of 91 cm. If I were to count the number of kg in reduction per week from June, it would be approx. 0.67 kg / week. Which is reasonable now that I think you mentioned 0.5 to 1kg per week is good to go for. I am still classified as overweight due to my height when I google on bmi calculation, but I do not know … Googling on the internet is not so helpful, therefore I want inshaa’Allah come up with another program again with you when I get the opportunity so I can break the circle and get a good ending inshaa’Allah. Then in the future when I get married and get pregnant I will be with you again, have planned my whole life with you. May Allah give us a long life with the best iman, good health and infinite khair and barakah, ameen. I mean, it honestly feels like I ‘rediscover’ my body I can sit and look at the anatomical snuff pit when I keep my thumb outstretched and become so fascinated! Can stare at me blind and flex my fingers to see the tendons clearly. Or when I walk past the mirror and see my collarbone so highlighted, feel it and pray “wow”. Before, I could not see any of these at all! It’s like a mass that was hidden for more than 10 years. The hardest part was mainly comments, glances or questions you could get. I have been asked several times by strangers if I have children or been pregnant. Heartbreaking when I’ve never really been married. I became too comfortable in my own bubble for a while that I let go of the hope that I might even lose weight. I began to feel an “acceptance” of how I am and “always will be”. But since I got in touch with you and got to see your posts, it was like bows that hit straight into the target. Everything was true and was so true. That it took me several years to get up to the obesity level and have stayed there for several years so it should not take a night to become normal-important I learned through you. The first time we wrote to each other, I kindly said that I would wait to join the coaching program after I put my little thoughts to you about my weight loss, because I wanted to “wait with the weight loss” and “I need to focus on a little more in life “. But honestly, that was actually an excuse. I had created excuses for myself for not grasping what really makes me feel better and happy. I’m glad I got it and I tell alhamdulillah you’re available, you’re among the best that’s happened to me. Had we not lived so far apart, I would have invited you to a good Indian buffet. I just want to show my gratitude and share my joy and hopefully inspire others and also make them not hesitate to join the programs you have to offer. "I wanted to lose weight, and I had heard about Carin through social media. I didn’t want to work out at the gym (wanted to do it at home), and also needed someone who could help me with the food. I didn’t know enough about what I should be eating, especially not the amounts. So I wanted as detailed a plan as possible.
With Carin, it became possible to work out at home. I only needed to buy a couple of things (a ball and dumbbells, I already had the mat), and then I was all set (the first weeks consisted of only bodyweight training). I noticed from the get go that the food wasn’t as scary as I had expected. I didn’t have to go around being hungry, or eat a bunch of stuff I don’t like. Carin makes sure to ask you what your preferences are, both regarding food and training. In retrospect, I realize how individually tailored my program and her treatment of me was. Never once did I feel like Carin judged me, where I was constantly judging myself. You will understand what I mean if you choose her in shaa Allah. Initially, as mentioned, I was looking for a detailed plan that I had thought I would follow militarily, but the more I learned from Carin, the more independent I became and alhamdulillah today I feel confident about my food choices. I feel that I can trust myself. Sometimes you go through stressful times in life and maybe everything doesn’t turn out perfect, but what’s amazing with Carin is that she encourages you to do what you can then and there (consistency is key), and everything is not always about making it perfect. Initially, my biggest goal was to lose weight. But Carin helped me to develop more and profound goals. Now it’s more about the long-term plans, to indeed have a healthy trend downwards on the scale (and body measurements of course), but mainly to create good habits that hold for the rest of my life in shaa Allah. "For a two-month period, I have had Carin Timskog as a health coach. My goal with her program was not just to lose weight, but to live a healthier life. For several years I have tried different diets but always fallen back into my bad eating habits and my craving for sweets. I have also trained in different ways, but stopped after a period. The problem for me has been my motivation. I wanted to see quick results and when I did not, I dropped everything and returned to old routines, which I later realized was wrong.
Over time, I realized that I need someone to support me in my diet and exercise so that I do not let go of everything once I get started. “I’ve heard about Coach Carin from a sister on Snapchat. The sister has written all the info about her and how happy she was. I had weight and fat problems on my body especially on my stomach and back. I contacted her and got a quick reply the same day and I was very welcomed.
I am incredibly happy that I decided to have a personal trainer (online trainer) because I had zero motivation for training and to be healthy. My program was ready within 3 days after having filled out some forms about what I like to eat and don’t like. I’ve got a good food plan that I’m happy with. It was tough to start training (home fitness training) but I got the motivation I needed from Coach Carin. “After having fluctuated pretty much my whole life with weight and nutrition, I feel that Carin is way more than just a regular Trainer and more of a holistic life coach! I feel privileged to be able to work with her in person and not only through the Internet. I then felt comfortable trying out the nutritional support program which I signed up to a couple of weeks ago. This has made me much more aware of everything I feed my body. I acknowledge that I need to put in the effort myself but she is extremely helpful with non calorie deficit meal planning according to the foods that I love ensuring that I get the nutrients my body needs!!! She also gives amazingly helpful feedback each day which is great because with other nutritionists it was at the end of a whole week or even two! I have to admit that I do have a slight sugar addiction and that my next step (goal) will be to fix that – but I am not worried because I know I am with Carin and it’s POSSIBLE! Always grateful !
